Played four years for coach Greg Vitello's Spartans, helping the club to a second-place finish in the state tournament in 2005 ... went 2-1 with a 2.86 ERA in 2007 ... struck out 13 batters in 14.2/3 innings pitched ... also saw time at third base and had three hits in seven at-bats ... his brother, Bob, was an All-America pitcher at Missouri State and is now in the St. Louis Cardinals' organization.
