Lisch Earns Third-Team All-Conference Honors
March 10, 2008
Junior guard Kevin Lisch (Belleville, Ill. / Althoff) has been named third-team All-Atlantic 10 Conference in voting conducted by the league's 14 head coaches. In addition, he was a repeat selection to the All-Defensive Team. Lisch and senior forward Luke Meyer (New Haven, Mo. / St. Francis Borgia) were selected to the Academic All-Conference Team by the conference's sports information directors. Saint Louis was the only A-10 squad to place two student-athletes on the All-Academic team. The 6-foot-2 Lisch, who was an honorable mention All-Conference choice last season, leads the Billikens in scoring (14.7 ppg), free throws (113) assists (96) and steals (37). He has hit 61 3-pointers and is shooting 81.3 percent from the free-throw line. Lisch is majoring in business administration, and Meyer already has graduated with a degree in accounting and is enrolled in the University's M.B.A. program. Meyer averages 8.5 ppg and leads the team with 5.4 rpg. He has 51 assists, 17 steals and 12 blocked shots. The Billikens (16-14, 7-9 A-10) enter the A-10 Tournament as the No. 9 seed and take on No. 8 Dayton at 11 a.m. (CT) on Wednesday, March 12, at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J.
