Email Coach Beck
Dave Beck enters his second season on the coaching staff after joining the Billikens during the summer of 2006.
His responsibilities include recruiting, on-field training and day-to-day operations of the men's soccer program.
"Dave is a great young coach who helps improve our program overall on a daily basis," head coach Dan Donigan said. "To have three coaches available to be on the recruiting trail can only be beneficial. Dave's contributions will help Saint Louis soccer to greater achievements."
In his first season with the Billikens, he helped the team to a 13-5-2 record and an appearance in the NCAA Tournament. In addition, he continued the program's recruiting responsibilities when head assistant Mike Sorber was touring with the U.S. Men's National Team in 2007. The 2007 recruiting class, the first that Beck played a part in, was ranked 21st in the nation by College Soccer News.
Beck came to Saint Louis after spending six seasons with NAIA power Lindenwood University in nearby St. Charles, Mo. He was involved in all facets of the Lions program including scouting, recruiting and training. The Lions won the 2004 Men's NAIA National Championship and qualified for the NAIA Tournament in 2000, 2001, 2003 and 2005.
Beck played two years at Florissant Valley Community College before transferring to Lindenwood to complete his collegiate career. He played professionally in 1999 for the St. Louis Ambush of the National Professional Soccer Leauge (NPSL). Beck earned a bachelor's degree in sport management from Lindenwood.
