ST. LOUIS • Former Saint Louis soccer forward Will John has signed with Randers FC in Denmark, a club that plays in the country's premier league, the Danish Superliga. John will continue his professional career in Europe after playing in Major League Soccer (MLS) for the previous three years.

"It is a great accomplishment for Will to find a club in Europe to continue his career, because that is not an easy thing for a young American to do," Billiken head coach Dan Donigan said. "He is extremely talented and skillful, and there are a number of clubs in the world that could use a player like Will. We look forward to following his career in Europe and wish him well."

John, a Kansas City, Mo., native, played for the Billikens in 2003 and 2004. He was named second-team NSCAA All-Midwest Region, second-team All-Conference and to the C-USA All-Freshman team in his first season after finishing second on the team with 23 points (9G, 5A).

At the conclusion of the 2004 season, John was named first-team All-Conference USA and NSCAA second-team All-Midwest Region after leading the Billikens in scoring with 24 points (10G, 4A). He was one of 16 semifinalists for the Hermann Trophy, the annual award given to collegiate soccer's player of the year. He left the program with a two-year career total of 47 points (19G, 9A).

John was drafted by Chicago in the 2005 MLS SuperDraft, then was traded to Kansas City in 2006. He appeared in 10 games during his MLS career. John has also played on several U.S. National Teams, including the U-20 squad in 2005 that competed at the FIFA World Youth Championship.
