Fox Earns Soccer Buzz All-Region Nod

Jan. 4, 2008

ST. LOUIS - Senior back Liz Fox (St. Louis, Mo./Cor Jesu), who helped Saint Louis women's soccer post a double-digit victory total for the sixth consecutive season, has been named to the Soccer Buzz magazine All-Central Region third team.

The All-Region honor is the third accolade of the 2007 season for Fox, who also was selected to the Atlantic 10 Conference first team and the College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-District 7 first team. She was a key component of the Saint Louis back line that allowed just eight goals in 11 A-10 games. In addition, she assisted on the game-winning goal in SLU's 1-0 win at Missouri State that was part of the Billikens' 10-6-2 record.

Fox missed just two games in four seasons as a Billiken, playing in 80 contests with 46 starts and tallying one goal and two assists. Saint Louis registered a 56-21-5 overall record, a 31-5-2 ledger in conference play and a 0.88 goals against average during her career. The Billikens won the A-10 Tournament title and reached the NCAA Tournament in 2005 and 2006 and captured regular-season league championships in 2004 (Conference USA) and 2005 (A-10).
